Caring for the People Who Care for Your Children
At Garderie Petit Baobab, we often talk about creating an environment where children feel safe, supported and valued. We believe the people who make that possible every day deserve the same.
Working in childcare is incredibly rewarding, but it also requires energy, patience, creativity and constant attention. Our educators spend their days teaching, comforting, encouraging, playing, listening and caring for the children entrusted to us. Recognizing that commitment means looking after the well-being of our team, too.
Wellness Is More Than One Activity
This year, we have continued to find simple but meaningful ways to invest in our employees and create opportunities to recharge and connect.
Our team enjoyed a Family Day outing, giving employees an opportunity to spend time together outside of the daycare environment and include their own families in the experience.
This summer, we are also introducing a team wellness experience, including yoga, stretching and meditation, a chance to slow down, move, breathe and focus on personal well-being.
And sometimes, wellness is about the everyday things. We recently refreshed our staff room to create a more comfortable and welcoming space where employees can truly step away, enjoy their break and recharge before returning to the classroom.
A Culture of Appreciation & Respect

Wellness also goes beyond activities and physical spaces. It is about how people are treated.
Our educators do important work. Caring for young children requires patience, compassion, professionalism and a tremendous amount of responsibility. Like all of us, they do their best work when they feel valued and respected.
That respect comes from all directions from colleagues, leadership, families and the community around them. A kind conversation, a simple thank you, patience during a busy moment, or recognition of the work happening behind the scenes can make a meaningful difference.
When the people caring for our children feel supported, everyone benefits.
At Garderie Petit Baobab, investing in our team isn’t simply about employee wellness. It’s part of creating the kind of environment we want for our children: one built on care, respect and belonging.
